Fantastic ambience and great selection of beers. Also great organic liquors plus the entire place gives all profits to a good cause

Globalhagen is the perfect hostel! The ambiance is great and the people friendly. You feel right at home. The bar downstairs is cozy and well decorated. The rooms look nice and the beds are comfortable.

Globalhagen is by far my favorite hostel ever. It's super chill and comfy here--you feel at home right away. Free luggage room to store your stuff before check in/after check out, and each room is decorated based on a different country (I stayed in Jordan). The beds aren't traditional bunk beds--they're more like plywood cubbies with PLENTY of electrical outlets. I think the way the beds are set up encourage conversation within the room for sure. Lots of younger folks here.

Downstairs is a cafe where you can get coffee and whatnot. Upstairs there are two kitchens and another unique dining area/TV room (with free movies!!).
Bathrooms were fine for me, just try to shower in off hours or wake up early to avoid waiting. But you do get individual showers with lockable doors so that's a plus.

Overall, the atmosphere of this hostel is cozy and friendly. The only con is the distance from Central station (if you are traveling via bus or train)--it is a 40 min walk. All proceeds go to charity and it's eco-friendly. Would definitely love to stay again.
