Vanilla Sky Georgia LTD

Day 1: Tusheti Province & Wine Tour in Kakheti
Early in the morning meet the guide and drive to Natakhtari airdrome (20min. drive).

From Natakhtari airdrome fly to Tusheti Province on a helicopter (MI8).

Known as the Georgian Shangri-La, Tusheti is an unforgettable remote mountain valley. Hidden behind a 3000 meter pass in the northeast corner of Georgia right up against the Daghestan (Russia) border, Tusheti is one of Georgia's great secrets. With the road only open three or four months a year its high mountain plateaus and valleys are dotted with villages marked out by their own distinctive stone towers - as at Omalo.

In Tusheti visit village Upper Omalo and take a flightseeing tour over Tusheti Province and Shenako towers.

From Tusheti fly to Kakheti region. Visit Alaverdi Cathedral (XI c. ), Gremi Church (XVI c. ), Tsinandali wine cellar and museum.

In the evening short drive to town Telavi to have an overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Vanilla Moments - Svaneti & Batumi
Early in the morning, following the breakfast, fly to mountainous region of Georgia, Svaneti. The mythological western Province of Georgia, land of the ‘Golden Fleece’ (where locals still sift for gold through sheepskins) lies high up in the Greater Caucasus.

The village Ushguli is believed to be the highest permanently inhabited place in Europe. It lies below Mt. Shkhara (5068m) the highest peak in Georgia and the second highest in Caucasus. Its more than 20 ancient stone towers and the ongoing resilience of its population have led it to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After an excursion and picnic lunch in Ushguli fly to Adjara region, town Batumi, to complete the perfect day watching sunset at the seaside and having delicious dinner.

Day 3: Excursion in Batumi (optional).

Departure in the morning optional excursion to Batumi Botanical Garden and Gonio fortress.

Batumi Botanical Garden, situated on the north of Batumi, along the Black Sea coast, is unique among the gardens of the world. At present, Batumi Botanical Garden occupies 114 ha.

From Batumi Botanical Garden continue journey down toward the Turkish border, where the ancient town of Gonio is situated. Built in the II century BC the town played a vital role as a crossroads between the west and the Caucasus. Archeological excavations still take place in Gonio – and have already unearthed a wealth of gold and other artifacts.

In the second half of the day fly back to Tbilisi.
