so many things to share. i loved the fact that the spa was able to accommodate me at a moment’s notice. it’s a nice spot in a cute town.
now for the bad: prices are too high for the services offered, especially off-season. i expected shampoo and conditioner and other amenities and there were none. the locker room was cramped and small for a spa this size. the plunge pools were nice but there was nobody to really help with sauna or steam room temps. also, i paid for a package but was told i couldn’t sit and wait at the outdoor pool. this is off season and nobody is around so I didn’t see the problem. also, the restaurant wasn’t open and the spa didn’t have nuts or fruit to tide you over. i had to wait five hours for an appointment even though the spa was empty when i arrived.
massage was decent but the woman took the liberty to massage my breasts. i write about travel all over he world and have never had a therapist just rub my breasts for 10 minutes without asking. maybe it’s par for the course here but i know southern Italians are a bit more conservative than most...

Basiliani is a modern hotel with two swimming pools, one outdoors and one indoors, situated away from the Otranto center. The rooms look very nice and are very clean. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Great place to stay with your family.
