When I signed up for my membership, they LITERALLY told me I could cancel whenever I want. Months later when I went to cancel they told me I couldn't cancel and was locked in for a year. THIS IS FRAUD! They will tell you ANYTHING to get you to sign up. Buyer beware!

When I first found this gym I was very overweight, weak, tired and depressed. And after a lifetime of living in this dangerous world, I was also a very fearful person. After 4 months of training Krav Maga I had lost 50 lbs. and knew how to take down a grown man.

I had seen a little bit if self defense training before. Where they bring scared women in and empower them to believe that they can fight after two weeks of teaching them about pressure points. Those women end up in more danger than they were before, because now the fear that was keeping them cautious is gone and they still don't have the skills to defend a real attack.

I knew from the beginning that this gym, the instructors and the training was very different from anything I had ever experienced before. The facilities are basic, they have everything that is needed but nothing that is showy or fancy. The walls are not lined with mirrors because the people training are not looking at themselves to see if they look good in their spandex. They are all looking inward and competing with themselves.

The level of seriousness and skill was something that I had never experienced at a traditional gym. I quickly came to realized that these instructors are the real deal. These guys are able to really perform the take downs, weapon defenses and fighting skills that they make movies about!

Until you train it and watch it around you at this gym, you really don't realize that it is real and possible. So many of the clientele and instructors are skilled to a level that most of us have only seen on T.V. And as skilled as they are, they are all so driven to share their knowledge.

I have been so impressed by the humility and patience of both the trainers and the trainees. I have yet to come across a single person, since I started training there, who wasn't willing to stop their own training to help me get caught up with mine! As cliche as it sounds, Charleston Krav Maga is like a family. And rightly so, since after training there for even a short time, a person becomes part of an elite group knowing skills that most never will.

I have been there for about four years now. I also have my kids training there (I have 4 of them). I will turn 45 this year and I am in the best shape of my entire life!

And although it is wise to be cautious, alert and aware, I'm not afraid anymore. (Except for the poor criminal that might make the mistake of attacking me!)

Charleston Krav Maga is a resource that we are blessed to have in Charleston. Everyone, but especially woman and children, need to be trained here. It is absolutely life changing! Thanks to Matt Robinson and all of the Krav Maga staff and clientele for making my family, stronger, wiser and safer!❤️

Fantastic place to train and grow as a martial artist. The on site staff is the best around, and they regularly bring in top level BJJ black belts for seminars. These are the least expensive seminars you will ever attend. The ownership keeps everything affordable and fun. I have never had an issue with the payment service. I had to take 5 months off due to an injury and they froze my account with one phone call and unfroze it 5 months later with another single call.

Charleston Krav Maga is staffed with professionals that have created a welcoming atmosphere for the beginner right up to the experienced. After the first initial visits, you quickly start feeling like part of a family. Your not just a number, everyone knows everyone. Everyone also helps out whenever possible. Being a military member, you know the importance of this after having to deploy and walking right back into the family. The experience my wife and daughter had through their ladies training program left both of them with more confidence in the ability to protect themselves.

I applaud your community involvement in the various programs, local police departments, and your military program with the Air Force Base. True Professionals. Best in the Business.
