We stayed in a "historical" room, which was much more up to par than I thought. Very nice bed. Just don't expect perfection-this is a historical experience with a small taste of luxury. The lobby and dining area is also the place to be on the weekend when the band's playing. Great atmosphere! Well worth the stay. The Bathhouse Row starts across the street!

Awesome ambiance. Cool historical value. Staff was caring and loved to give history about the hotel and area. I will be staying again. That being said, it would have been WONDERFUL to adjust the AC. Apparent boiler issues? Room was excessively out dated and a bit dumpy. We had a hot spring room, and the tub was BLISS.

Beautiful hotel and an awesome spectacle of history! It's hard to describe the atmosphere in this place. It's very eluding and you can easily get lost in the "old timey" dynamic when they do the dance hall night. Many people from around town join the band and dance in the performance hall dressed from the early ages when the hotel was in full swing some time ago. Probably the most popular hotel in Hot Springs. Exquisite place!

This is a beautiful, historic hotel in the heart of downtown Hot Springs and close to bathhouse row. It is important to remember this is not a new, luxury hotel so expectations should be adjusted. The room was clean and just the perfect size for what we needed. Absolutely no complaints. There are a number of negative reviews saying this hotel is run down. Those reviews are very misleading. Yes, there may need to be some minor maintenance (painting, updating curtains) but the hotel is fantastic considering it is historic. The pool and hot tub are great for evening conversation as is the what seems like nightly music in the lobby/bar. If you are in town on Sunday, don't miss the brunch at the hotel restaurant!

So yeah, I wrote a review earlier in 2017 about how things were falling apart at the Arlington. They were. It was a case of creepy bad management and a series of punk decisions by individuals who did not know what to do, or did not have the Arlington's best interest in mind. Then, the hotel sold, and most of us shouted for joy and hope for the future. It is our grand old dame hotel and her true personality needs to be completely restored with intelligent sensitivity. it will cost $$$$$$$$$. I think the new owners will restore it historically. Peeling paint, scruffy dirty hallways and other stuff is not a matter of age. it is a matter of some people in charge who needed their hind-ends kicked into progressive gear and out of careless laziness. That is what it looked like, PAST tense. Now, things are changing and there is a great chance that this hotel will be completely renovated with its original class intact.
