My daughter was referred to this specialist in February for a procedure and neither he nor his office had the professional competence or courtesy to contact the referring physicians (two letters and a phone call) or the patient in the months that followed ,to say that despite his specialty he does not perform the procedure requested. This resulted in months of unnecessary delay,and the continuation of agonizing deteriorating health including related anxiety. Noone is perfect and doctors are busy,undeniable truths BUT the patient comes first.A simple call or letter response early on rather than No Response at all would have helped. If the same scenario appeared on a medical exam and you were asked what should your response be, I am certain you would have responded and your response would not have been "do nothing".
