Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel

So yes,it's a nice hotel and yes,it's convenient when staying in the city. But the pricing and service does not give much value. While I can accept that given the location and whatnot will impact the pricing, you need to back that up with great service, and we didn't get anything approaching great. More like indifferent. Check in would have been better with any information at all about the area or the amenities or even an "enjoy your stay', but we got none of that.

The room was fine (the view was terrible, but they have no control over that and we didn't make any special requests). In house services like the restaurant and coffee shop were brutally overpriced. We just went to the Bluenose II and had breakfast there for half the price.

Just not a great experience. Nothing 'wrong' with it, but for what they're asking in terms of payment, you should get much more out of your stay than we did.

Very nice hotel. The room was large and comfortable. The bed and pillow is really comfortable. The desk is well equipped to plug all electronics. The toilet products are really good. It’s always nice to have good shampoo and soap. The restaurant is really modern and looks good. The staff there is extremely nice genuine. The prices of the food is very good and the food is also very good. The chocolate desert was a meal in itself. The coffee shop in the lobby is also very good with Starbucks beans. The pool is nice but the shower was not equipped to shower before you go back to your room. The hotel is connected to the casino, which was nice when it’s more chilly at night. The picture I included is to show the view you have from right outside the hotel. Right on their boardwalk, the location is excellent.

I found the location to be convenient to downtown and the waterfront. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and well maintained. It has a large fitness facility and great bar, coffee shop and restaurant attached. The business center is large and well suited for workgroups. There is valet parking or self parking underground. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is at a very convenient location in downtown, right on harbor front. Lots of places to eat or just have a walk on the harbor. The rooms need updates. Got the room on sixth floor and there was only one small window in the room. Very different from some of the other Marriott properties I have stayed it. The condition of the room was decent and better than some of the other Marriott hotels I have stayed at. Great place to stay if someone wants to visit downtown Halifax.

Was there for a wedding. As emcee, the hotel contact was fantastic! She showed me everything I needed for my announcements and was very helpful during the event. She even bright me a glass of wine when I forgot to bring mine to the podium! The staff throughout the event were great! Attentive but not obtrusive.
