The Touc is great. Chill, local pub with nice pub fare. Great beer selection and kick ass bartenders!! Day, night, it's alllll right!! Where the locals roll.

You can't go wrong with the Toucan. Nightly entertainment but if you're looking for a quiet but friendly afternoon beverage, it's slightly hidden location is it's key beauty.

My daughter loves the Toucan. She used to work there & wasn't fond of the boss. A little too bossy. But the food is generally great, and the pints are priced ok. A great place to go with friends. It's our usual haunt. I've noticed sometimes the waitresses are a bit nonchalant, unless you tip big. You sometimes have to wait a bit for them to serve you. Not all, but some.

I wish I could give two reviews - one for service and atmosphere (5 Stars) and one for venue (three stars).
The Toucan is one of the great watering holes in Kingston. With two bars for service, and a waiting staff with near nightvision, the are quick with the service and as professional as they come.
However, the venue is aging and the carpet has developed a smell which to some is part of the Toucan experience, and to other is a bit of a turn-off.
If you're looking for downtown Pub, where everyone could know your name, the Toucan is it.

Friendly place with decent pub fare. Very popular with the locals (if you're from Kingston, it's hard not to bump into someone you know on any given day!) Live, local music is regularly showcased - lots of fun!
