Let me begin by saying I rarely write reviews. But my partner and I felt compelled to comment on this hotel. First and foremost, the location is excellent. The room we stayed in was sizeable for Beijing standards as well. Unfortunately, they're the only good things about our stay.
We stayed during October for 1 week. It's considered the 'low season'. During this time the hotel turns OFF their air-conditioning. The end result was a room that was constantly hot, despite outside temperature being in the 15-18 degree Celsius range. The staff speak poor English and were slow to react to our questions and enquiries. For example, we asked them to order a taxi 12 hours before we were due to depart for the airport but they called us half an hour before we were scheduled to leave the hotel to inform us this had not been done, and that we should take their airport shuttle (which was more expensive) instead. Our bathroom leaked from the toilet, the shower, and through the tiles around the floor of the room. We had to put our towels across the floor just so we didn't trip over.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is not in very good physical health, or for those who have issues sleeping in a hot and sweaty environment. I particularly believe this hotel is dangerous for elderly people. In short, despite the good location and good size room, it is not a safe hotel to stay in and has poor customer service.

I've been in Beijing before and I know how difficult is to find the right hotel in terms of quality-price, and Sofu is the best you can find. The rooms are perfect (very clean and with kinds of commodities) and all the workers are really nice. We were exhausted with the 12 hours flight thing and I couldn't make me understand very well in Chinese or English in my state, but they managed everything very nicely and professionally. Thank you Sofu!

Great hotel. Not much for views but it is very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. A short walk to the corner and you can catch a taxi.
