i would come to Vientiane just to have the cold creamy coconut coffee drink at kung's, it was that good. the food was outstanding as well - probably the best food i had while in Vientiane. met with the founding owner who sat at our table for a bit and chatted. the café, that has the charm of the small village, is located less that 10 minutes walking, via rue Simeuang (continue straight though the small park and pass the statue to continue on rue Simeuang (maps does not show this shortcut option)), from the COPE center at the end of a small alley, look for the signs out on the main street in front of the alley.

Was not impressed with this cafe given the high reviews both here and on trip advisor. The service was non existent (they were busy but I wasn't approached once, had to go to the cashier to ask for a menu, then to order, then to pay) and the food was really average.

Followed the recommendations & found my way here on a Sunday. As advertised: peaceful & pleasant place. Had a rice pancake with mango & a banana smoothie... delish!... 😋

I loved this little quaint gem. Went here purely on reviews and wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious, and everyone there made me feel welcome. Such a delight my first trip to Laos, solo.

Always a delight. Rustic charm in the back lanes of Vientiane. Get there before it disappears under the developers hand for a genuine taste of the lane ways of Vientiane and the "community" that lives in this growing city.
Staff always gentle and eager to help understand our mangled Lao. Menu has pictures and English so you can choose from a great assortment of dishes. Sticky rice Mango pancakes a real specialty.
