Beautiful, the no.1 place in césis, such a friendly young guy who served us and felt our cool vibe and made the eveninf perfect, highly recommend to everyone, pasta and cheesecake!

It was a nice evening to sit outside on the terrace of two locals. Service was friendly and we were informed that our plates might not arrive at exactly the same time, as they have two kitchens (and outside grill and an inside kitchen for the rest of the food). We enjoyed our drinks (good Cesis beer btw) and did not have to wait too long for our food. The chicken pasta was reasonably good, the salmon salad a bit boring but good, the hamburger very good. But than the ribs. Technically the description on the menu was right. You get two ribs. Which is more than one in which case the description should have been rib. Maybe 50 grams of meat and a lot of bone. Taste OK. Make the portion bigger and you might get 4 stars.

While I stayed four nights in Cesis I had four times dinner at Cafe2locals. I have enjoyed different kind of starter and main courses. Basicly: good price for good food in good portions, so I kept returning because I was sattisfied and happy. Improvements: fried shrimps (don't fry them) and the vegetarian dish with cheese. For the rest: tour stars deserved for thuis type of café/restaurant.

So fresh - and slow - you'll swear they grew the veggies after you ordered them. The food is very good, but what started as light hunger was starvation before we were fed. And as my friend's lunch was served (an hour after ordered) I was told they didn't have the ingredients for my dish. You're probably in Cesis for vacation. Make the most of your time - eat elsewhere.
