Our Sunday roast.
The beer was flat, the atmosphere not all that.
The gravy lacked punch, a terrible lunch.
View was sublime, cuts of meat far from prime.
Bottomless Yorkshire’s? No, just bottomless torture.

Looks very smart after undergoing a revamp recently. Great location but parking can be challenging even using the park and ride overflow

I arrived at 12.10 mid day today intending to have an early roast dinner, but was told that a Sunday roast dinner could not be ordered until 12.30. The bar was filling up with customers with only one person serving. I decided to stay at the bar until 12.30 so that I didn't loose my place in the queue because there were other people waiting to place their orders, as well as a huge queue for drinks. There was special celebration reason for my husband and I to eat at the Boathouse, because it usually has a very nice atmosphere, but unfortunately not on this visit. The food was good, but was spoilt by the too few staff rushing around. This is a lovely pub with beautiful river views, such a shame that the new owners ( Hall and Woodhouse ) are not hiring enough staff to look after their customers. We will visit again to see if this was just a transition error.

Atmosphere was so lovely. View was perfect. Steak unfortunately not cooked as asked and didn't return to take wine order after leaving the wine list. Other than this everyone else loved the meals. Well priced too.
