Friendly staff, nice breakfast, amazing gardens, very comfortable bed. Room was indeed a bit dated, there was a smell of old wood and I would like the spa to be larger and allow the guests to bring beverages, like tea, coffee and juice. Overall we enjoyed our stay but for the price that you pay everything should be perfect :p

I just can't see how this can be rated a 5 star hotel (which it is on some booking sites). Lots of little things just aren't quite right with this place. All adds up to a disappointing stay. We left early and went elsewhere.
Spa is too small for the size of the hotel - there are not enough loungers in the spa for the number of guests using it. No one to bring you drinks in the spa.
Hotel room was sparsely decorated, lacked some finishing touches to make it feel homely. Bathroom was in need of decorating.
Hotel entrance felt souless and like the rest of the hotel lacks those finishing touches you'd expect in a top hotel.

The room that we stayed in was really smelly. Staff showed little interest in sorting the problem out. The breakfast was very disapointing, the portions were stingy and the tea was as weak as dish water. We had planned to have dinner at the hotel, but changed our minds after experiencing breakfast. However we did enjoy the spa and the gardens were lovely. The walk into bath was pleasant and included a nice walk through the park. We felt that it was a shame that with just a little bit more care and attention this could have been a much nicer stay.

Brilliant stay ,room exactly as requested really spacious and comfortable,the only reason l didn't give 5* we had a long wait for breakfast. Delicious when it arrived. This is my second visit and l would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful grounds and great venue. Clearly popular for spas. Could better separate spa guests and business guests in main areas. Felt they were a bit too keen to overfill glasses and up their drinks revenue. Apart from that, v good and would use again
