Large portion of excellent cod chips and mushy peas, I really enjoyed it. I keep going back and havent been let down yet.

I had to go to the city hospital recently and decided to have lunch at Bishops restaurant after my visit. Ordered Cod and chips and a drink for lunch.
The drink was fine but the rest of the meal was, let me say and i don't want to mix my words totally disgusting. The chips were greasy and soggy, totally tasteless. As for the cod,very little but if you like batter, boy it was thick and crunchy. That was an experience i hope never to have again.
As for the staff who served me, polite but bored, have to say the restaurant was very clean, the best part of something that i don't intend to experience again.

This place has gone down a bit in recent years but it can still be good for some genuine fish and chips. Don't expect the nicest interior but the food is ok.
