This is one of the few Birmingham pubs where you will be able to find a good place to sit and hold a conversation without having to fight for space to even stand and shout to your companions. Granted it's not in the city centre, and that's probably why. It is my nearest thing to a local and it has recently been revamped inside to a rather more up market and grown up style, which I like. The food and service is generally good, with a nice relaxed atmosphere and a roaring fire in the winter. There is also an outside area which is a nice place to sit in warm weather.

I used to rate this as the best pub in Moseley but it has gone all corporate lost it's edge. It still does a very good range of beer.

Went in at 6.30pm for Sunday roast but none available. We were then given the standard main menu. The group had to order 4 times as every time the waitress took the order to the kitchen, something was unavailable. Waitress was lovely and felt our frustration.

Hadn't been in for some time. Place looked like it's had a welcome freshen up. The gent behind the bar was friendly, helpful, well presented and polite. I don't usually bother reviewing places etc but on this occasion the difference in the feel of the venue was notable. I could have sat there all afternoon.
