Deeply lovely pottery making a wide range of very usable items. We bought mugs, plates and bowls from here and they give tremendous pleasure every time we use them. Their prices are also very fair, often less than equivalent mass produced items. The potters themselves are also lovely people!

I went in yesterday looking for a Christmas present for my mum. It truly has a well curated assortment of pottery/ceramics. Everything from more traditional and reserved to imaginative, bold pieces. Well priced. Definitely worth a look as there's a lot of beauty in there. The owner was very nice and helpful.

At a glance the shop from the outside is appealing, bright and cheerful and you are intrigued to go inside and look at the pottery closer. I was a little lost as I was meant to be meeting a friend at the other side of the Meadows. Accidentally finding this shop made my day. The owner, Paul Tebble, was very welcoming, he explained that the pottery had been around since 1988 and he was joined by a partner Junko Shibe as his pottery developed.
The warmth radiated not only from the pots in a beautiful range of colours, that were well made and displayed, but from a potter who obviously loves his craft and is patient with his customers. If you have any questions about how the pots were glazed or made Paul is willing to discuss how they are made.
I love going to potteries. The Meadows Pottery has been my best experience of visiting a pottery shop so far.
The mug I bought had pinks and purples in it of a similar glaze range to the teapot photographed on the web site. Why I bought the mug was due to the appealing colours in it and how it felt incredibly light and comfortable to hold. The handle was wonderfully smooth and I know when I hold it I have a unique piece of art in my hands that has been lovingly made at a reasonable price.
I would definitely recommend people visit this pottery it is ace.
