Well I've been there few times. One time I had a bad experience with one person from the staff (Young staff girl was rude towards my friend, I think She had a bad day or something) Second time they throw us out because there was with us one person (who looks young) and she didn't have her ID with her and staff told us that we are buying alcohol for her (which is not true, she was not drinking anything during our meeting in Soar Point) but they decided to throw us out for something we didn't do so it's very poor customers treating. I'm not gonna go to SOAR POINT ever again.

Decent student hangout with a fair few weekly offers available (drinks can be a bit expensive depending on what you choose). Its got a balcony which looks over the soar canal which is nice in summer with all the swans around. It can get quite busy during term time and puts on pub quiz's etc but if you prefer a quieter environment just visit earlier in the day or at a unusual time for students.
it has a access lift if you can't get down the main staircase, I can't really comment on the food but their orange and chocolate vegan tarte is really good!

Rudest staff I've met, thought my friend had paid for my drink but she hadn't and The girl behind the bar told me I was a liar and was extremely rude to me in front of customers, other staff members and my friends trying to make out i'd stolen the drink which made me feel extremely embarrassed and ruined my night. Learn some customer service skills :) will not be returning

Used to be one of my favourite places to drink in Leicester. Great to watch sports, play a game of pool and grab a few pints. It's close to the University so it's mainly 18-25 years olds. Food is great but the prices have gone up a lot. £4.20 for a strongbow is just way too much.
