A small area with a lot if history. Nice to walk in. Does not have a lot for children though.

Love it , rolling greenery, tranquility slap bang in the middle of town - chill out on the grass! Picnic at a bench? Or feed the swans (on the canal) pleasant area, and it's kept really neat and tidy, notice boards can be found - dotted around, - information about the area , brilliant. A slice of peace and nature! Free for all to enjoy - and you certainly will

Good moorings with easy access to the city. Road can be a bit noisy.

I went here as part of Heritage Sunday in Leicester. Take your kids, I saw a lot of parents teaching their children about the history of Leicester :) Heritage Sundays are the last Sunday of every month until November this year (2017), a lot of historic places are free to visit and you can get a tour if you want as well, so keep an eye out on Facebook and online.

I love museums and hadn't visited this one. It was much better than I expected, and this was mainly due to the old prison- please, if you do go, make sure you go into the cells! They were so interesting, and are right below the courtroom (Ask one of the helpful ladies at reception, the entrance is a bit tricky to find in the stand/the dock).

Look out for Engravings on the benches and behind the doors!
