Easy ride out on the bay, and caught plenty of fish. We were also able to bring home about 3 crabs a person. The employees on the ship are rather gruff though.

Their website says half day rock cod trip departin at 6 am coming back at 2. That's not what's goin to happen. Boat left at 7 am. Got to the fishing hole at 8. Fishes till 11. By then j had three ling and three nice rock fish. The captain goes "ok everybody lets go home looks like we got enough fish for every body". Apparently deck hand Was catching tiny quarter pound rock fish in a bucket so if you didn't catch your limit in the three hours you can take some home. I don't know about others but I paid money to fish not have the deck hand catch my fish. Especially when they are smaller than my hand. Then while I was measuring my ling COD deck hands starts yelling that he is the official on this boat and has to measure every fish before you can put it in your sac. Something about how if I'm caught with an illegal fish that he will be responsible for. Please the money I paid for this fishing trip could buy me the fish. Go to Randy's sport fishing. You get your full half day fishing with them.

Most crappiest fishing charter i've ever been on! Nothing but tangles and i almost got hooked by some dummy. Boat was overcrowded and we didn't even limit out for the boat. That is unheard of during this peak season for rock cod. Only thing i caught were some Z's (best part of my trip).

I have gone a total of 3 times with this business and every time they have produced fish. I went this week with my son who is ten and he and I had a blast. Capt Scott and Tristan the deck hand were on their game as were all personnel in my other trips. The staff was friendly, I formative and very quick to help folks. They were very encouraging to my son and the other three kids on the boat. Boatload of beginner fishermen and they handled it and kept everyone reeling in rock cod. My girlfriend and I went a few months before with same friendly service and very memorable experience seeing whales and dolphins etc. Only positive to say about these folks. A salmon trip a few years back with them brought me back. Maybe the cowboy hat made them remember me but either way every time was awesome. You can't criticize them for rougher water. Its the ocean people. Do yourself a favor and take dramamine if you can't handle the waves. My ten year old son handled the four foot swells you can too. You wont regret it in my opinion. Show up earlier for the best spot and some advice beforehand and listen to the depths. They make it kid proof as my son's limit of fish is evidence of. Great job To the crews at Randy's
oh yeah...dress in layers...prepare for warm but for sure plan for cooler to cold weather. It is after all ocean fishing 😉
