Lovely 8am class this morning with Kirsty. Perfect start to a long weekend in Byron!

Lots of space and very welcoming, even though I arrived a couple of minutes late. I'd actually tried to go to Beachside yoga and massage, seduced by the promise of a sea view. When I arrived 5 mins early they were actually practicing in a small room with limited sea view and were "full". They made no attempt to accommodate me, despite there being ample space between mats.

I guess everything happens for a reason because Byron Yoga Centre was fantastic! Very happy :)

Good. The flow class is more like a yin yang class. It felt half active and half restorative. It also was suppose to be an hour class and went 45 minutes over. It was good but it seems like in Byrons yoga in general.. the classes are more of a spiritual class with a couple of flows. It's not the same as the more athletic vinyasa you might be used to New York. The classes are longer too but over half of the class is meditation and restorative postures.

Totally amazing experience. I attended the 8 day New Years Retreat and all I can say is that this was one of the best retreats I have been on. The schedule was very organised and allowed for a great choice of activities. The coordination was superb. Sarah the retreat coordinator did an amazing job getting to know us all and catering for all our individual needs. I will never forget this New Years. The night was very special with a letting go ceremony followed by an amazing evening of eating cocoa balls and moving meditation. I would highly recommend this retreat for anyone looking to start the new year with new energy and clarity.

Attending an 8-day yoga retreat at Byron Bay Yoga Centre was by far the best thing I have ever done for myself, especially after going through a particularly traumatic period of major life transition. Three yoga classes per day (dynamic power, gentle and restorative) taught by a diverse range of amazingly talented and nurturing instructors, as well as daily meditations each evening, both deepened my yoga practice and facilitated a process of healing and recovery for my body, mind, heart and soul. In addition, wellness workshops on topics such as nutrition, naturopathy and Ayurveda were not only educational but triggered new interest areas for me with regards to complimentary therapies. Also included in the package deal were three different massage treatments given by highly skilled therapists. One highlight for me was the Shiatsu massage which provided me with a breakthrough of emotional release. Another was a garden walk and passionate talk which gave me gratitude learning where our nutritious yet delicious organic meals were sourced from plants grown from rich soil and lovingly tended by farmers' footsteps. At my initiation, our group leader kindly dedicated a specific class to me which focused on the art of letting go. I made new friends with instructors, workers and guests. Each had something to offer by way of sharing and caring. So incredible was my overall experience that made such a lasting impression on me, that I am now considering participating in one of their yoga instructor training courses as well. I arrived feeling broken and depleted yet left feeling restored and reconnected with my more authentic self. I cannot recommend highly enough to anyone looking for some personal time out and interested in deepening their yoga practice or even looking for a peaceful and nurturing environment to kick start one.

I recently stayed at Byron Yoga Center for their 8 day Retreat and would highly recommend this to anyone. The center is a short walk from the bustling and trendy Byron Bay, with cafe life, lots of beautiful beaches and incredible whale watching. In contrast the center is a haven, located in a quiet and tranquil setting surrounding by amazing gardens abundant in flowers and vegetables.

The retreat is a total escape from every day life, waking to morning Yoga, eating the delicious food, mostly from their garden, daily activities and treatments and floating off to bed after evening meditation.

There was plenty of time to spend reading, relaxing, swimming in the heated pool or taking a stroll into Byron and the local markets teaming with atmosphere and beautiful items to purchase.

This retreat is suitable for all levels of yoga and those wanting to spend time to re-energize and relax. I certainly plan to return on a regular basis, thank you to all the friendly and attentive team at Byron Yoga Center.
