Small rooms and bed, a bit expensive comparing to the other alternative in the same class. Breakfast is really good and highly recommended.

The hotel is really well located in Berlin, close to public transportation and nice places to visit. I did not try their breakfast since it was not included. The main negative aspect of my stay was the guy working in the front desk during night shifts, I believe his name is Franz. This guy is not polite at all, he did not even respond to "good evening" greetings. The room I was staying was for people with special needs. One night, by accident, I triggered the room alarm on and could not turn it off since the button to do so was broken. This guy Franz did not speak English with me (although he said he could speak the language) and said many bad words in German because he could not turn the alarm off either. He told me the only thing I could do was "waiting until next morning for the room service, since I was the one turning the alarm on". He did not even try anything or contact someone. Conclusion? In order to avoid the alarm buzz all night, I unscrewed the panel and turn the alarm off very easily in the first try. This guy is terrible for the image of the hotel since the whole staff but him was very nice.

Very pleasant. The hotel look like like tje movie "The Shinning" and creeped me out a little bit.

It's Okay. Clean, spacious room, a bit outdated but ok for 3 stars. Had a noisy room, a lot of disturbance from the street and room next door. Didn't try the breakfast here.

We were very happy with our room. It was clean and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is excellent. Breakfasts were brilliant. My only complaint was that we had no means of making tea or coffee in our room. The mini bar was well stocked but there was no kettle or access to any coffee making facility for guests. We arrived on a Monday evening when the hotel bar was shut, so we could not even buy a coffee to take up to our room.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the Augustinehof to friends and collagues.
