Nothing like the photos, overpriced, dirty, you have to walk through a kitchen and smell of garbage to get to an old small elevator, breakfast is so limited they didnt even have water, tv doesn’t work, no phone in room, by far the worst hotel ive ever stayed in.

Decent and cozy hotel. Showers aren't great, hard to get at a good temperature and has bad pressure. Rooms arent too big but good enough for a week here in Cologne.

The location of this hotel is great! Right by the Cathedral and nearby restaurants. The room fits your needs for an overnight stay and the staff is very friendly.

My family arrived at this hotel after taking the train from the airport, and a day of travelling. The receptionist - looking up only after replying to his text - informed us that we were overbooked and to head to their sister hotel across the station.
We headed to their other hotel, and we were informed by their receptionist that they had not been contacted by Central am Dom and that they did not have a family room (4 people) for us.
I then called up Expedia travel - with whom we had booked - and they in turn called the Central am Dom. They informed us that the hotel actually did have a room available, and that is what the receptionist had believed all along.
After walking back through to the station to Centro Hotel Central am Dom, we arrived wherein they gave us our room keys - sheepishly - and we headed up to our room.
Where there was 2 single beds and 1 miniature single bed.
We then called Expedia once more, and we are being moved hotels. We paid over £650 for this room for a week, and it was definitely not what we paid for or what was advertised.
Would not recommend staying in this hotel.

Average hotel. A few minor issues. Definitely needs some updating. Beds were super low. TV very small, poor quality, staff were averagely helpful. Breakfast was light, nothing labelled. 5 kinds of meat but no idea what I ate! Eggs were way over cooked. But it really depends on why you stay, if you're with the lads for beer and want a cheap stay, then perfect. If you're out for a nice holiday with wife and family then I wouldn't recommend.
