The hostel in very close to the city center and shops are quite near but place is bit expensive.

Decent hostel for a single or couple night stay. Do not expect luxurious furnishings. There are only two types of dormitoriea....6-bed and 12-bed. Personal lockers are available. Breakfast is not available. There is a big kitchen with refrigerators and diswasher which can be used. Washing machines also available. The check-in will not start before 14:00 and the main door cannot open from the outside without a key. The bathrooms are pretty clean and bed linen is provided. The walls of the hostel have a cheap paint and you will really end up with some white powder on your clothes and bags!
This is one of the very very few cheap hostels in Rostock and is close to the Doberaner Platz which has a direct tram connection from the main station. There is a small bar-cafe which is administered by the same hostel people...for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks until midnight.

My friend and I rocked up last minute and they were very accommodating. The facilities were extremely nice and the location was perfect for our short stay as it is conveniently located next to a really cool hip bar where we met some cool local students. Would highly recommend!
