Hotel Bougainville - Capri

Easy check-in to the hotel. Unfortunately, upon using the shower/bathtub, we found that it leaked into our room. Once we notified the front desk, they promptly moved us into a comparable room and took time to rearrange the room so that my wife and I could share a bed.

Hotel is in a great part of anacapri that's convenient to the island. I highly recommend it

I was there in September and it was a horrible experience. First the room was noisy and also the WiFi didn't work in our room. They only had one clothes iron in the hotel and it didn't work. Breakfast is very limited to cakes and bread some cold boiled eggs. Teas and bread etc nothing special. The older owner was rude and couldn't care less for the wifi issue and also tried to accuse me of trying to break his electric shades. On checkout the owner accused me of writing a bad review on trip advisor which i don't subscribe to. He then refused to drive me and my wife to the marina and said we weren't welcome there.... This was the absolutely worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Not sure how this is a 4 star hotel and the management is horribly unprofessional. Please stay away and if you have an issue there be careful because they don't care and will yell at you or accuse you for something you didn't do. There are plenty of other hotels around this one.

As you can read from their reply they are extremely unprofessional. Please stay at your own risk.

Hotel accogliente, i cani sono ben accetti, ottima pulizia delle camere, proprietari disponibili anche per il trasporto degli ospiti dal porto ... lontano dalla pazza folla, ci tornerei...

After day one I was asked to move to a different hotel for no reason, and even though my booking was for two nights. 75 minutes later they sorted it out but after a lot of hustle! Over-booking at its worst... A friend of ours actually returned back to his room in the evening and all his belongings had been packed out of his room without his consent and were in a pile in the corner by reception... (even though we had paid for 2 nights as it was clearly stated on our hotel voucher...)
On my second night there I had to send some work emails at 1am and the WiFi had full signal but no internet. When I called reception and I told them they told me to go outside cause the internet works there... I told them that i did have full reception and they might just need to restart the router and they told me 'no no, sir.'
And on top of all that the rooms were definitely overpriced, very average and the breakfast was really poor.
Makes the whole Capri experience truly a bad one...
Go elsewhere!!

good place to stay in ana capri... bus station is jus outside the hotel..so travelling to capri and also the marina grande port is eazy..little over priced... but over all great experience n stay...
