Very good food, decent price, great ambiance and location. Service was quite slow.

The cheapest (and good) menu in Bergen which we found (98 NOK), and its right in the city centre.

It's all about the scampi in Bryggen. It topped every fish dish we ordered.
The Seafood Pasta (186 NOK) was ok with garlic steamed scampi and #mussels in a tomato sauce.
The Seafood Salad (184 NOK) was a little better with mussels, scampi, avocado and chives. I liked that it was fresh and light but again, it was nothing to write home about.
The Salmon with Pesto (265 NOK) with saffron butter sauce and ratatouille was my favorite of the three. The salmon was moist. The mashed potatoes were flavourful, buttery and well spiced. But the ratatouille stole the show. Loved the mix of flavours in this peasant's dish.
And of course, I had to try the Akvavit. I normally don't drink hard liquor but this went down so super easy. Light with a slight flavour of dill. Excellent!
I was a bit disappointed that the scampi was rather flavourless given that it should be fresh in Scandinavian countries. I would probably pass on this restaurant.

Harbour Café is a good restaurant in the heart of Bergen. The menu is quite varied, and the quality of the food is pretty consistently good. If you are there for lunch, the sandwiches are even reasonably priced and very tasty, though the balance of the dressing in the salad is usually a bit off to my taste. For dinner it is on the expensive side, but not compared to similar places in the vicinity.

We had the recommended fish soup and it didn't disappoint. It was cold inside and we had to keep our coats on - in June
