Decent gym with a fair amount of equipment. Will get you through your holiday workout. Not very spacious. Day pass is €11, towel and RFID bracelet for a locker are included.

Nice gym but they pump out way too much very strong perfume or air freshener in the air which makes it difficult to breath. The air-conditioning doesn't seem to work most of the time.
There is also often lots of personal trainers standing around doing nothing, making the gym more crowded than necessary. The trainer's in reception almost always let you stand there waiting instead of serving you, they instead prioritize speaking to their colleagues or typing away at the computer. Customer service seems to be a term unknown to them.
I was also promised half price membership when i signed up (promo at the time of joining) but instead they just bill me for the full amount and not the discounted rate.
Finally, me and my friend was using the gym together and some manager came over to us and said it's not allowed to give each other advice or act as a personal trainer to each other which is outrageous considering we both are members and simple use machines together.

This place is fine. Over powering smell of some sort of air freshener is really distracting, AC didn't work in the weight room and no squat rack...really?? They have 2 smith machines though...super odd. Had to do good squats on this imo. Just bought a day pass so didn't have any of the problems of previous reviewers.

UPDATE: Following DiR's response to this review, I still have not received an email from their team nor have they attempted to reach me.
Following on from the previous reviewer - beware of giving DiR any financial information! I have had a similar experience, having been overcharged 3 months in a row.
I registered with DiR in September and in December I was overcharged by €18, which was refunded at the time by the team in the gym.
The team in DiR Eixample explained that my rate would return to normal (what I previously paid) the following month.
In January I was overcharged by €18 again. I was informed that because I had been given a refund in December, their systems would not allow me to have a refund until the 1 March, but my membership rate would be back to normal in February. I was informed that this was an issue with "Central" however to rest assured the matter would be resolved.
In February, yet again, I was overcharged by €18. I cancelled my membership and was told that I would receive my refund at the end of the month along with the January over payment as the money was mine and the error was theirs.
At the end of the month I asked the manager about my refund and was informed that there had an IT error and I had to write an email to DiR which would be sent to "Central".
I have now sent 3 emails to DiR that have been completely ignored.
I would strongly recommend anyone considering DiR to look elsewhere. And if the same happens to you, contact the Agència Catalana del Consum - as I am currently doing.

Beware! Don't provide your visa number! I recently visited Barcelona on holidays and signed up for one week pass at the gym. Nice gym and good facilities, but they have since charged my visa for a monthly membership and will not respond to my repeated requests to cancel.
