Excellent. Food is very English based but portions are definitely on the generous side and the cocktail menu is excellent! We ate here twice during our week long stay and came for some drinks the once. All three times we found the staff to be friendly, helpful and very kind. One of our party of five unfortunately lost her passport on the first night of our holiday and when we came here the morning after, we found (the guy who seems to own it, didn't catch his name) to be very helpful with advice and directions to the police station and the embassy - He even offered to take us to the police station if we needed and contacted the owner of the club we thought it had got lost in as we hadn't had any luck getting hold of them.
Everyone went out of their way to be helpful and friendly and the place has a lovely atmosphere.
Our holiday coincided with the last week of the season for the resturant and we were offered seats on the terrace despite it being closed and given free use of the pool table. Very small gestures really but it was these, and the help offered as above, that made us want to come back and our visits here really enjoyable.

This place more or less serves traditional English/Irish home comfort food. However the food was good and well portioned. The staff were friendly and the kids love the pirate theme as well as actually being a historic building with significance to pirates. (There is a plaque that explains the history) so this made the experience more than just a pub dinner.
There is an outside space on the rear side of the bar which is nice contract to the inside which is quite dark.

Lovely food. Lovely people. We only visited for a takeaway lunch but got chatting to the owner for half an hour. Such a lovely lady. I recommend the chicken baguettes... delicious.
