Typical OTT! (Overpriced Tourist Trap). Tapas are ok but way too expensive for its location, a shabby back-alley. This place charges you for olives??? (which actually should be a welcoming gesture, like in most Sevillian bars). On top of that they serve stale bread, 1€ per person. The waiters are quite nice, though, but seem a bit uncomfortable, like they are being watched all the time. They definitely deserve a better employer!

Trap for tourists. Food quality is low and there is a woman controlling the waiters bothering them all the time. The best are the waiters that are friendly and always ready to help.

We went there for lunch with friends, the waiter offered us some things that weren't in the menu, like tomato salad and grilled vegetables. We also ate some tapas from the menu. Food was average, service was quick but they charged us 9€ each for the tiny tomato salad and the burned vegetables. That was more than every other food that was on the menu. So ask for price first, when you want something that's recommended or not in the menu. We were highly disappointed.

The shop got really great products and is very charming.
Previous reviewers give a bad notation because the restaurant part is expensive... Like many other places when you can sit like a restaurant in Sevilla. All the meet come from the shop.The quality is good and you are next to everything in the center, remaining in a small street.

I never bash a hard working establishment who gives an honest effort, however the food at El Colmaito was largely inedible. My friends and I ordered 4 tapas; the first contained a large piece of steel wool accompanied by a rouge hair swimming in the mayonnaise, the second was a bowl of cool ravioli which had to be sent back to the burner, the third was actually an edible risotto followed by a piece of beef so fatty we could only eat the side of potatoes (which were delicious actually). Unfortunately after mentioning these garish oversights we were still charged in full with several full plates adorning the table. The good news is the shop next door by the same name is fantastic, however retail doesn't seem to translate over into the culinary adventure in this instance.
